A preliminary court hearing to address San Francisco 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald’s August domestic violence arrest has been cancelled, according to ESPN. McDonald’s court hearing had been set for Monday and no new date will be set “unless or until charges are filed,” according to the report.
McDonald was arrested on Aug. 31 on suspicion of felony domestic violence, and the victim, his fiancee, had “visible injuries,” according to reports. McDonald has not been charged to this point, nor has he been disciplined by the 49ers or the NFL — at least publicly. The arrest came prior to the start of the regular season, but McDonald has started all three games for the 49ers thus far.
McDonald had previously been involved in a domestic dispute, though no arrests were made and no charges were filed then.
After the flat defender goes to the flat in zone, they don’t generally stay with a route that is going deep. The corner to that side is supposed to come off the post, turning that over to the deep safety, and play over the top of the wheel route. That sounds good in theory, but on the field, cornerbacks often times get locked in on the outside receiver if he runs ten or more yards up the field. That means there is nobody to cover the wheel route deep.
Yes, that Marc Trestman is his current Bears head coach.
This is their second season together, combining their intellectual approach to the game mixed with a real toughness in the pocket that Cutler possesses second to none.
Gloom settled in over Chicago when the Bears opened their season at home losing to the Buffalo Bills. But after road victories at the San Francisco 49ers and at the Jets, after Cutler assured all after Buffalo that the team would rise and then did, in Cutler, once again, they trust.
