The Jets are a dumpster fire right now.

The New York Jets don’t plan to be a contender in 2017. The moves the franchise has made during the offseason have made it abundantly clear the team doesn’t consider itself a winner right now.

For a bit of historical perspective, when the 2001 Mariners matched an MLB record with 116 wins, they won games at a .724 clip in the first half and at a .707 pace in the second half. In fact, only two teams in Cheap Jerseys Authentic MLB history have ever finished a season with a winning percentage better than .739 — the 1902 Pirates (.741) and the 1906 Cubs (.755). And these Cubs don’t have Mordecai “Three-finger” Brown atop their rotation like those Cubs did more than a century ago (more on that in a moment).

The truth is, there’s no magic light switch the Cubs just haven’t flipped on this year. Remember when Kyle Schwarber hit that grand slam against the Cardinals in the beginning of June? That felt like a watershed moment for both the struggling lefty and the team, right? An epic blast to finish off a comeback win against the club’s most bitter rival is a spark if ever there was a spark.

Well, Schwarber’s hitting .211 since then and still sitting at .174 for the season. The Cubs Cheap Jerseys Cn were 27-27 after that win and are 8-7 since. A lot more of the same.

Maddon’s decision to move middle-of-the-order anchor Anthony Rizzo to the leadoff spot last week felt like a turning point, too, especially when Rizzo reached base three times — including a home run — and the Cubs won that first one against the Mets 14-3.
